INCONTINENT BRIEFS & SUPPLIES are provided free of charge to our Veterans. This is why we are pleased to offer a highly successful wound care treatment program & maintain a reduced-odor environment.

FACILITY CHAPEL that provides religious programs & Bible Study for the spiritual needs of all faiths & beliefs.

QUARTERLY CARE PLANNING for each Veteran takes place involving the Veteran, family & staff to identify the Veteran’s individual medical needs, Dietary requirements/preferences, Social Service concerns & Activity involvement.

BARBER SHOP services are available to all Veterans.

FACILITY VAN provides community outings to accommodate both wheelchair & ambulatory Veterans for events in the local & metropolitan areas of New Orleans & Baton Rouge as well as provide medical transport for appointments.

REHABILITATION SERVICES are provided by a phenomenal team of therapy professionals specializing in Physical, Occupational & Speech therapies which are coordinated with a physician’s order.

Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home is honored to learn we have received the highest possible honor in the new rating system established by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The facility received an outstanding score of 5 out of a possible 5 from Health Inspection, Staffing levels and Quality Measures.

RESIDENT ACTIVITIES which range from one-on-one reality orientation to adult discussion groups, Resident Council meetings, Bingo games, Arts & Crafts project, Gardening, Music Therapy, Hobby Programs, on-site Fishing Pond & Community Outings.
Experienced staff members are trained to care for all types of Veteran needs, ranging from Alzheimer’s Disease, stroke, accident or those who simply long for security & companionship
